West Sparkle Movie Production

West Sparkle Movie Production has released Part 3 of the movie, "Tradition of the Fathers." This release concludes the 3-part feature that seeks to draw attention to some of the negative and obsolete customary practices that abuse Ghanaian women and girls. For the first time in its history, the Ghana Actors' Guild (GAG) has started a branch in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis to cater for actors and actresses in the Western Region of Ghana.

Shortly after the formation of the branch, which took place in March 2010 at the Center for National Culture at Fijai, the interim Regional Chairman, Mr. Charles Egyir of Prince Media Productions, paid visits to all the production houses in the Region with other executive officers.

Mr Egyir impressed upon the minds of the actors and actresses the importance and benefits of joining the GAG. He urged them to avoid paying monies to any producer or director when auditioning, saying auditions are free.

Official inauguration of the branch is scheduled for the end of July 2010. The exact date will be communicated in a future update of this stoy.
